Respond to this report! Monday, May 18, I just received a call about grants also, seems to be the same type of company, maybe a new name, just wondering because of all of the similarties, the name of this company is Nationwide Corporate Funding also in Henderson, NV. More often than not, businesses that propose innovation and technology research and development are the ones being considered for funding.
Do not allow yourself to become a victim of this false statement. No need to call for the service, the scammer will be the one to find and call you. This is not a usual business practice in legal grant writing companies. Typically, it is the clients who call to inquire about grants.
If not, why will an organization give you funding when you did not even request for it? This is a grant scam. But, what if you did apply?
Well, does the person on the phone represent the funding organization? If you are not sure, then call the foundation and ask about the person. You may also inquire if the information you receive is valid. After giving the money, no communication has ever transpired.
She said, you pay him this amount and she will be in charge of everything. Did she ask you about your plans? Did she ask you information about your project? Some grant scams involve criminals placing ads in newspapers and on websites offering loans for small business. If you respond to one of these bogus government loan offers you will quickly be approved. What comes next should raise more than a few eyebrows.
In order to collect your loan you are required to wire funds via Western Union to pay for insurance on the loan. Thousands of dollars may be asked for but the loan could be for much more making it seem reasonable. If you wire money to someone for loan insurance you can kiss it all goodbye. Many are tricked, in part, because these government loan scams use real sounding names to fool people.
Some of the scams use actual names of well known financial instutions and government agencies. If you go to their website it will probably look very respectable and sophisticated. Designing a legitimate looking website is part of the scheme.
The part that fools people is that the website domains will be just a little bit different than those of the real financial or government websites. Just different enough to trick you.
Real government websites usually, but not always, have domains ending in. Bear in mind that you can make a link say anything you want. Where that link takes you is another story. When the link says government-loans. Never give out personal information over the phone when you did not initiate the call. You can also report fraud to the National Fraud Information Center at The government does not call people to give money away.
Treasury Dept to certain liw income taxpayers. Right now, Uncle Sam is in debt for over 17 Trillion dollars and counting. Sorry you all are being conned. The bastard callers should be thrown into a grain silo.
One of my friends just contacted me that she had received the same thing and that my name was on the winners list. Should I warn her before it gets too far??? They said they were from the IRS. They had all my info…address, name, etc.
Is this for real? Exact same thing happened to me today. Same thing just hapoem to me except they actually said they were from the government. Daid for mebto go to walmart and purchase an itune gift card. Security deposit of I googled about scams like that and says pretty much about what they say once thet get you on the phone.
I almost fell for it to. Just received the call. You never have to pay money to get money ever ,ever ,ever. Just received the same phone call. I got as much information as possible , names, phone numbers, addresses and called the Federal Trade Commission, who filed a complaint. These people are scum. I just go a call yesterday around 3: What can we do to stop there con artist from calling people to rip them off. Their has to be something we can do. We have to stop these thieves from fleecing the American people.
Or its just a scam , he have my account number? But i didnt give him ID or SS. Have some one really receive the money from them in forreal? The lady hesitated to tell me her full name. She later referred me to a so called Accounting manager for further instructions. Sounding too good to be true, I ran to my banker for a second opinion. They told me all of the above. If I were too carried away and acted secretly, I would find myself by myself tonight feeling sorry for myself.
It was a scam. I would be jacked up. Can you tell me about this thanks. I got the same thing. Wit world bank from facebook. They I said I was one of the lucky winners. Than the FedEx agent said all I had to do was pay A friend told I was on the list. And she hit me up out of no where. That if a send a processing fee I would get my grant in 48 hours and it would be delivered in 48 hours and was thru World Bank as well.
I have not sent anything because I got curious to why I needed to pay a processing fee for a free grant. Tonight, I received a friend request from someone that I meet at a previous job. I excepted her request, she ask me how I was doing, I responded and she said that she got some good news and was really happy.
